Sveriges Ridgymnasium AB is a stable organization that has been in operation for over 20 years. Today, our schools are located in Skåne and Halland. We work purposefully to stay at the forefront of developing our schools and our pedagogy, with collegial learning being a high priority.

Sveriges Ridgymnasium's vision is to be Sweden's best riding gymnasium. SRG Svedala is a school where pedagogical development and collegial learning are high priorities. Our staff consists of approximately 35 employees, and approximately 160 students study across the school's three year groups within the Natural Resource Program - specializing in Horse Management - with profiles in Horse/Riding Sports. Here, we create tomorrow's riders and horse people, with a strong educational foundation for both further studies and professional life.

We would like you to meet the following criteria:

We assume and value that you hold a degree in social work or equivalent education. Previous experience in the role of school counselor is highly meritorious.

You are sensitive to the students' needs and have good skills in collaboration with students, guardians, educators, and colleagues.

We also look for someone driven by challenging yourself, your colleagues, and students – this to contribute to continuous development. You are independent and responsible in your assignment.

What you will work on with us:

We are looking for you who want to be an active part of our student health team. You will work actively with student well-being, focusing on promoting and preventive efforts. In collaboration between the school's different professional roles, your salutogenic approach is important.

We want you, as a counselor, to value and contribute to a functioning school routine for every student – as a success factor for students' learning and development. With this view of your assignment, you follow the students' development and contribute to optimizing their learning. In your role with us, you will contribute your competence at the organizational, group, and individual levels.

You will, for example, conduct investigations of students with problematic school absenteeism, investigate reports of bullying, and work with various measures to strengthen safety and study environment. You will have conversations with students about their well-being and life situation, and guide students both in groups and individually. We view the promoting and preventive work at the organizational level as extremely important.

Start date and position level

The position starts on August 3rd or by agreement, but no later than before the start of the autumn term 2026. The position is full-time. We offer a probationary period of 6 months. The purpose is for the position to convert to a permanent employment after the probationary period.
